FAQs
Frequently asked questions
What happens at my first appointment?
Every first treatment starts with a short consultation — we talk through your health, any injuries or conditions, and what you want from the session, so the treatment is tailored and safe for you. This is included in your appointment time at no extra cost.
What should I wear?
Whatever is comfortable. You’ll undress to your underwear in private for most treatments and be covered with towels throughout — only the area being worked on is uncovered. For back, neck and shoulder treatments you can keep your lower half fully dressed.
Are there any reasons I shouldn’t have a massage?
Some conditions need a little care — fever or infection, recent surgery or injury, some skin conditions, pregnancy (first trimester), or certain circulatory conditions. Mention anything relevant when you book and we’ll advise; occasionally we may ask you to check with your GP first.
What is your cancellation policy?
Life happens — with at least 24 hours’ notice you can reschedule freely and your deposit carries over to the new time. Deposits themselves are non-refundable, so cancellations with less notice, cancellations without rebooking, and no-shows forfeit the deposit.
Where are you and is there parking?
We’re based in Newcastle upon Tyne with free parking nearby. Full directions come with your booking confirmation email.
Do you treat sports injuries?
We offer deep tissue and maintenance massage for active people — great for tight muscles, aches, and recovery. We don’t treat acute injuries or provide rehabilitation; for a suspected injury, see a physiotherapist or a Level 4 sports massage therapist first.
How does the deposit work — and is it refundable?
Booking online takes a small card deposit through Stripe to secure your slot — it comes straight off the treatment price on the day, and card details never touch our website. The deposit is non-refundable: it protects the appointment time reserved just for you. If your plans change, just give us at least 24 hours’ notice and the deposit carries over to your rescheduled appointment instead.
